About Me

Hello! I’m Sidney Causer, a musical theatre performer, actor, and singer from Cheshire, England. I’m a proud member of the D-Day Juniors, a young troupe of performers inspired by the UK’s premier wartime act, The D-Day Darlings. Together, we share the music and message of remembrance, honouring our veterans and helping to keep their legacy alive.

This year, the D-Day Juniors had the incredible opportunity to perform alongside the D-Day Darlings on their UK VE80 Tour, celebrating 80 years since Victory in Europe and continuing to spread the spirit of unity, courage, and gratitude through music. I also had the privilege of performing with the D-Day Juniors on ITV’s This Morning, and we were honoured to sing at 10 Downing Street for the Prime Minister and veterans during the VE Day street party, followed by a special tour of 10 Downing Street.

I’ve also been honoured to perform at the Women of the Year Luncheon & Awards at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium in both 2024 and 2025. This year, I was especially proud to be chosen as a ‘Woman in Focus’, celebrating inspiring women from all walks of life and communities.

After being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2022, theatre became a transformative outlet for me. As a Youth Ambassador for BreakthroughT1D (JDRF), I raise awareness and support young people living with Type 1 Diabetes. I’m also honoured to perform as a singing princess at the Starlight Children’s Ward Christmas parties for the diabetes department at Wythenshawe Hospital, spreading joy and creating special moments for children and families.

My journey in musical theatre began in 2022 with Mid Cheshire Youth Theatre, where I played a Mersister in The Little Mermaid JR. A standout moment came in 2023 when I portrayed Elsa in Frozen JR. a performance that earned both myself and the cast NODA award nominations.

When I’m not on stage, I’m developing my skills through dance, singing, and guitar lessons, and love recording music in the studio. I also volunteer as a children’s party princess and perform at community events to raise funds for BreakthroughT1D, helping to spread awareness about Type 1 Diabetes.

Playing the guitar and performing bring me so much joy, and I’m passionate about using my talents to inspire others and make a positive impact especially for young people like me.
